I wouldnt say the pressure from Intel is mounting up, but they are finally going with a more power efficient and multi chiplet design. They are still like a gen or two behind on both counts. Dont get me wrong they can catch up fast (as what happens when you able to see what it really works like as AMD already did a lot of learning for them) but I do like that AMD is like no we need to keep going and keep iterating on this till its logical end.
While I am team red for longer then I like to admit (yes I have a bulldozer and first gen threadripper) I would love to see the market where these two are 60/40 market share depending on the year. I am glad that Intel got what they had coming for sitting back and just upping power and making it on the smallest node. But lets see a real comp (and what will ARM do for this sector).
