Oh my god it’s fine. I’ve been using it since the APK was released and I only have two tabs because I dont have live TV or any discovery features on.
It sounds to me like plex mobile isn’t working any different to how it’s been working on the desktop and tv expericencne for years. Am I missing something?

How can you turn the other tabs “off”?

I gotta be honest, I didn’t even notice. I don’t use the app much though, so there wasn’t anything to which I’d grown super attuned. Seems fine.
The only thing I don’t like is the growing pains (video haphazardly resizes when I tap to view the controls and the top status bar appears) and the fact that switching libraries involves an extra click now.
I mostly use the local web interface. I’ve noticed the new stuff added but I just unpin and ignore it. Still does what I want, and I’m one of the ones that got the lifetime pass for $25 like 10+ years ago. So until it’s so bad it’s useless, it’s still worth what I paid for it.
