It’s almost as if you don’t even get a choice of init systems! There are over 30 desktop environments to choose from. Varioius bootloaders, display managers and even 2 display servers. Imagine being so great that you can defy the first tenet of the Unix philosophy and there doesn’t even appear to be an alternate choice (what mainstream distro doesn’t use SystemD?).
Imagine if all Linux were this simple when it came to choices!
Because Windows and MacOS are soooooo much better in this regard.

Windows isn’t Linux, so doest have the same design philosophy.
Mac is based on Linux (BSD if I recall correctly), but heavily modified, again, doesn’t follow the Unix design philosophy.
Did you miss the sub you were in? Did you miss the obvious sarcasm by calling OP a linux user as an insult?
Also, BSD is not Linux; BSD is Unix. And Mac OS is UNIX certified, and POSIX compliant.
