minus-squarem-p{3}linkfedilink30•edit-21 day agoWe were a medium-sized VMware client, roughly 4000 VMs. We’re almost done migrating to Nutanix. Sadly not open source, but less money towards Broadcom is a good thing overall.

We were a medium-sized VMware client, roughly 4000 VMs. We’re almost done migrating to Nutanix.

I can almost assure you, it was not considered.
Nutanix is a mature platform, but more importantly, they’re a mature vendor, which means support contracts with SLAs.
I wasn’t involved in the tender, so I don’t know who initially applied and what were the specifics.
Isn’t nutanix licensed the same way more or less?
