Read up the season 1 and 2 spoilers and jump to season 3. It’s a total change and a love letter finale to TNG.
It is, but I think the writers don’t quite understand the ramifications of what they’ve made canon.
Pretty much.
Seasons one and two suffered from such weird plotting and pacing.
Season one was originally written from the androids perspective without the involvement of Sir Patrick. The studio execs wanted a big name attached to the project, so they rewrote it to center around Picard. This pretty much ruined the story.
