Need to talk about mod action but don’t know for sure if it deserves a full post? Write about it here. A mod is just threatening actions instead of actually doing it? Someone just removed your witty comment because they lack humor? A self-important sticky announcement? Generally having no chill? This might be the spot for you.

That l.w. TOS is getting quite long, eh?
I mean, considering that the most recent revision is to explicitly allow for discussions and advocacy of jury nullification even in the case of murder and violent crimes, I don’t know that it’s got much power-tripping bastard energy. Just another notch for “Lemmy.world is a slapdash project putting things together as they go”, which most of us knew.
It is somewhat hilarious to read all the comments saying the exact opposite of that though. Some of them almost outright state how they did not bother to read it in the slightest, while others merely make that clear based on what they claim about it.
Whenever I think that people won’t surprise me any longer, a whole bunch of volunteers show up to lower the bar.
I don’t mention it as a bastardly evidence, more of a thing to go “hmm” about
I just hope this brings people to go to other instances. I’ve started a thread on [email protected] to see whether the admins would be okay for their instance to become to go-to suggestion for US-specific communities, let’s see how it goes.
