    She’s still a convicted felon and was serving her time on home confinement. She served several years in actual prison. She has not been forgiven for her crime.

    I really don’t understand Lemmy. People massively confusing pardons and sentence commutations. Further being outraged at the horrors of the American prison system, yet being pissed when people aren’t imprisoned enough.

      One of the people he pardoned was a judge responsible for the cash-for-kids scandal. A judge who took money to send kids to for profit prisons. I just can’t fathom that they’re someone deserving of a pardon.

        I think my point is she did real time in prison (like 5 years?). And if your concern is that someone who steals 10k gets more time, my question is:

        Does she deserve more time or do they deserve less?

        This forum likes to decry inhumane sentences which is great, but I hope you can see the misalignment in views when the same hive mind wants her to be locked away for much longer.
