My mom was using her iPhone. She tapped the Photos button, and somehow it literally showed only the videos that had been taken. It would not show any pictures.

Is there a shortcut where she could’ve accidentally tapped something? To cause this? I’ve never seen this happen.

The actual steps that were taken

From the lock screen, I activated the camera took several photos. Then locked the phone. Then handed the phone to mom. She unlocked. The tapped photo viewer, and all it would show is the videos.

I’m trying to figure out if there was something that she tapped on the side of the phone or something that she may have tapped when unlocking the phone.

It’s not the only time we’ve had really weird things happen on an iPhone, but it’s happening more and more. So hopefully somebody can help us out on this one?

Sounds like she was in the video folder.

    Maybe select Live Photos?

What would you tap to select live photos? From the Lock Screen or after unlocking the phone?

When I am in the videos section there is a < to take me back to everything. Then down past the photos sections there are some sections like memories and featured photos, just past that is the menu I posted with the Live Photos.

Except she didn’t scroll. Just unlocked the phone and tapped photos. Maybe a possible accidental long press somewhere

If I am in my video section and I close the app and lock my screen and then unlock and open photos I am still in videos. Try swiping the app to close it. Once it is fully closed it should open back to everything.
