I realized every time I get a new hot sauce, I usually make potatoes and eggs for breakfast and try the sauce on that for the first time. Not that I think it’s a superior method, I just noticed it’s something I do.

What’s your go-to method when you get something new?
I think I usually just use a spoon and/or chip. I need to know what the flavor is like so I know what foods it’ll go well with.
Though, it’s not something I’ve thought much about before. I’ve probably also tried quite a few with fried chicken or Mexican food.
I expect the potato, tortilla chip and chicken are all pretty common. They all are pretty mild tastes that tend not to clash with the wide range of flavors hot sauces seem to have.
