First song I ever learned to play (on bass) was just like heaven. My gf lived that song and I was in a shit band, but man, playing a girls favorite song for her in the 90s was pinnacle of romance.
Oh man, they’re a great band to learn bass from. They have such prominent, yet not overly difficult bass lines. Do you still play? Can you play any RHCP songs? They’re kind of the opposite, prominent yet very complicated bass lines.
Haven’t played bass in decades.
That funk/ slap style was always beyond me.
