But expressing an alternate opinion on Lemmy does come with most people shunning you and calling you a bootlicker, which from what I’ve seen only discourages diversification. Meanwhile, Rule #1 of [email protected] states “Be Respectful”, and Rule #5 is “No Enciting Harassment” so… I guess mods shouldn’t follow the rules then, b/c facts don’t matter?
Then they will get mad that people choose the bear (Reddit) over the man (bEcAuSe We’Re SuCh NiCe PeOpLe ThO).
I have noticed the irony in most of these, yes. And if mods do enforce the rules as they should (like the .world mods) they get criticized. There’s no winning, haha
These “alternative fact” tactics WORK! Or else people would not bother with them. The Information Age is over, now we have entered the Disinformation Era, where it is much harder to distinguish truth from fiction.
