Pinot had a shocker tactically in the giro. Legs looked good though. If he can stop playing the big man he might win a stage.
A shocker tactically?! He got 5th on GC, plus the Blue jersey. Sure he didn’t get a stage win, but he had a massively successful race by any reasonable expectation.
Oh for sure above expectations. As I say, surprisingly good legs. He shot himself in the foot repeatedly when it came to potential stage wins though, and I suspect he would have traded both the blue jersey and his GC place for even just one stage win.
