CIA spent a lot of money, even sponsoring terrorists attacks and failed fascist coups, to move Italy back to fascist, because at some point it had the biggest communist party in Europe and extremely strong social democratic parties.
I really don’t get the direction of the country tbh. Italy was known world wide for quality engineering in almost every area but for some reason they just ignore digital market. It’s almost like the country has stopped for whatever reason.
