    There is potentially an immense amount of rare earth minerals buried under one of the largest supplies of freshwater. And it’s close to the arctic which would make it convenient location for refineries with arctic oil and gas.

      Resources and climate refuge can’t be the major reason. Too long term payoffs.

      Military bases threatening Europe or the us depending on control, is only a big deal when considering policies that raise anger.

        You’re giving too much credit if you think he thought of it. Others want him to get it for them. He’s old and unhealthy, but a useful stooge in the interim.

          This is direct planning on becoming a bigger asshole to Europe.

          The people who himanize him, especially EU politicians and yheir internet bots, are the ones getting too much credit for failjng to see through the plan.
