The presence of bacteria is not the same as if faecal matter were smeared on there. Bacteria live everywhere. One of the most contaminated places is the human mouth. Human bites are horrendous and can cause terrible infections. But still we’re all mostly walking around well and healthy, despite bacteria on our toothbrushes. There’s nothing to worry about.
