This is something I’ve slowly been realizing the past few years after learning more about what it actually is. I (really) don’t have the “hyperactive” part, so I guess I always just assumed I couldn’t have it. I had a decidedly hyperactive little brother growing up, so I think seeing that contrast also made me think it was clear I didn’t have the same thing…
But reading about the executive functioning stuff, etc., and then actually trying Adderall (recreationally) and finding out that it didn’t make me energetic or anything. I just felt like a normal human being for the first time in my life.

You guys should look up and take the official ADHD self assement. Takes like 5 minutes and can point you in the right direction 😁
