    From all this paranoia about drones lately, I’ve learned that apparently there are a number of humans who’ve never looked up at the night sky before.

      I remember famously that during the blackout of New York in 2003, 911 took a number of calls from concerned citizens that were strange lights in the sky. They were stars.

      Well, you can’t see the stars from a lot of places. I live in a small town here, but I’m surrounded by large industrial cities that are always very well lit. It’s very rare to see the stars because the bright city lights outglow them. Unfortunately, light pollution is a real problem.

      I think the first time I actually saw a full starry sky was on vacation in an area far away from any cities. I was almost 20.

        I was in my early teens in a remote NE part of Poland. I haven’t seen colors in the sky ever since.

          Don’t feel too bad. I’m 41 and I’ve never seen the colors of the band of our galaxy.

        That’s because of these nasty roofs they’re putting on top of houses these days. The “stars” you’re seeing are probably the ceiling lights.

        Nothing a little C4 can’t fix though. Just make sure to leave the room before ignition.
