Summary
A Gallup poll shows 62% of Americans now believe it is the government’s responsibility to ensure health care access—the highest level in over a decade.
Support for government involvement has grown among Republicans (32%) and independents (65%), while 90% of Democrats agree.
Despite increased approval of the Affordable Care Act (54%), Republicans, led by Donald Trump, may target Medicaid and ACA spending to fund $4 trillion in tax cuts.
Trump has offered vague healthcare plans but has not provided detailed proposals to replace the ACA.
It won’t be repealed, it will be gutted. And replaced with nothing better because 62% want government healthcare, but 62% didn’t vote Democrat.
Democrats don’t deliver healthcare when they have power. There’s always some Lieberman or Manchin that stops them.
So roughly 50% don’t vote.
The election was a month before the nation realized an alternative to private insurance was viable.
Right? If Luigi said “Let’s-a-go!” in October, the loser of the election would have been the first person to condemn Luigi.
…And if I know the political parties, Trump would ignore Luigi entirely to focus on himself and Kamala would shame Luigi’s supporters and claim we’re “Better than this” and real change “Can happen without resorting to violence!”
So same result… Trump victory
They said the same thing about DADT, that it’d be replaced with the “Defense of Marriage Act”
