The prices vary by council. They also ship to the rest of Vic and AU, but the prices aren’t subsidised, just slightly discounted (no idea if the non-member location pricing is actually competitive with Bunnings, etc, or not. This isn’t my area of expertise)
Shipping is covered if your council offers a discount. Shipping costs extra elsewhere, so most likely not worth it. They also seem to offer free pickup from Langwarrin.
I used the bokashi bins for a while. Super effective. I dumped the finished product into a compost bin. I ended up with a compost bin that was so full of black soldier fly larvae it seemed to develop its own consciousness. I had to move house but that thing could have been my superannuation fund.

I accidentally left my bokashi bin cooking for almost an entire year and it ended up infested with flies. When I popped the lid to get rid of it I was simultaneously horrified at the infestation and fascinated by how much everything had broken down. It was basically a brown ooze, the only remaining things I could recognise were some pistachio shells
