I’m not sure orzo would be a good sub. If I was going to do something other than grits it would be a risotto.
The grits aren’t hard. Following the directions in the package but instead of water I use 3/4 of chicken stock and 1/4 heavy cream. When the grits are done I add in about 1/4 cup of shredded parmesan and 1 cup of shredded cheddar.
How do you make cheese grits? Would orzo be a good alternative if grits are a sensory issue? It looks really inspiring in what’s achievable at home.
I didn’t grow up with grits and find them very intimidating due to lack of inspiration for incorporation
