As one of the early adopters of the 5800X3D myself I know why: the 3D cache is just sooo good for games <3.
Biggest benefit of the cache I have seen is its effect it had on my Minecraft MP server world with loads of piston contraptions that worked with fluids. With the old CPU I had those common glitches where textures would not load and piston + blocks would look transparent. Bonus for the abysmal FPS. With the X3D and nothing else changed not only were the texture glitches gone but also the FPS was muuuch better. Instant payoff.

It’s really powerful for complex Unity engine games too.
