Dave Meltzer reports that Chris Charlton is on an indefinite hiatus from commentary due to his anti-AEW comments during the NJPW/AEW Dynasty show.

2 month suspension, Tony was not pleased at what he said, but was not involved/had no input in the decision re: suspension.

    I could only find a few clips in Japanese, so I had no idea. But looking in those comments, it must have been pretty rough.

      Charlton referred to Khan as a “money mark” during Kenny Omega and Gabe Kidd’s co-main event match in an apparent attempt to add some fuel for an AEW vs. NJPW angle. Among other comments, he also questioned what Kazuchika Okada, Jay White and Will Ospreay have done since signing with AEW and unfavorably compared the Continental Classic to the G1 tournament.

      The 41-year-old Charlton shared a picture of himself with Omega after that match, but later deleted another tweet where he attempted to explain himself. As of now, he has not commented publicly on this latest development.
