Under Article 131 of the Dutch Criminal Code, which governs lemmy.world, inciting others to commit a crime is sedition. This comment by @[email protected] clearly incites others to shoplift from corporate chain stores, which is considered sedition. This isn’t allowed on lemmy.world because it’s illegal in the country where the servers are hosted.
.world already prohibits opruiing. Drag can’t make .world worse by pointing opruiing out to the admins, unless you mean to say that opruiing is good, and the admins aren’t currently removing all of it. It’s against the server rules of .world and this community’s rules to advocate for opruiing, as opruiing is a crime, so inciting opruiing would also be opruiing.
If you support opruiing and believe it is a moral good, it is not in your interest to use .world. .world is legally required to prohibit opruiing. You may be able to get away with a bit of opruiing here and there if the admins don’t notice. But when a high profile case like the Luigi Mangione trial comes along, they will crack down. And any community you have helped build on .world will be turned against you. .world is not a safe place to engage in behaviour the Netherlands considers to be criminal.
okay cool i thought so thanks for responding ild <3
