Yeah that’s the usual claim I’ve seen for years, but I seriously doubt the authenticity of it as wacky/sensational stories like this get media attention regardless of what state they occur in.

Seems like Florida is chock (chalk?) full of these guys.
Florida apparently has some law that means more crime is published. They don’t necessarily have more crazies.
This certainly gives us a lot of material, but now I wonder why Florida has this! It must be different than the local police blotter that is common.

It’s part of Florida’s “sunshine” laws. Certain government actions need to be publicly available, and in Florida that includes mugshots.
