As a kid in the 70s I was a space nerd. I watched anything I could find about space related topics, including UFO shows. About once every year or two, I would encounter a show that would cover alien abductions. They would scare me, and each person had a different looking alien creature involved in the abduction, but nothing ever terrorized me as much as the aliens who abducted a Mr. Travis. His alien abductors were pretty much the design of the Greys from the 80s through today. Others began describing their UFO abductors as this same design starting a couple years after his alien description hit the airwaves.
His “experience” was made into a big screen movie, “Fire in the Sky,” back in the 90s. X-Files continued the popularity of the design through the 90s.
I don’t believe in alien abductions, but I’ll be darned, I just can’t get rid of seeing those creepy aliens that Mr. Travis introduced us to 40-50 years ago.
