That’s what’s expected, yes. Hindi ko pa napanood Dunkirk so not sure how Nolan does with historical drama. May habit din kasi siya with pretentious dialogue like with his Batman films or exposition-heavy to the point that it treats the audience like idiots (Inception).
But I did enjoy Tenet when I thought I was going to hate it, and still love his earlier works (Insomnia, Following).
The safe bet is Barbie, though. If you just want something light and fun.
Nolan opted Dunkirk as an experience picture. It is narrative-driven, little to no dialogue.
