If a niche community has people that persistently downvote every post
- is that healthy for the community?
- is that healthy for lemmy in general?
Examples that come to mind are political communities, linus tech tips, diet communities, etc. There will be a group of people who will not make comments, posts, but will strictly downvote everything that is in the community.
This is a continuation of a discussion @[email protected] and I started elsewhere, but it deserves it’s own space for meta-moderation discussion.
Yeah, nix is horrible to setup, but once its going its like a bulldozer, keeps me current lol.

They are consistent, heh
I reported them on the Lemmy general moderation chat, maybe they will get banned, we’ll see
Why would you do that ?
Because someone downvoting 20 posts out of twenty in a community where all of that posts are relevant and without any comment or upvote on the community ever doesn’t bring any value to the community.
