they didnt care about procedure, norms, laws, or prosecutions 3 years ago because “he might be the nominee”

they didnt care 2 months ago because “he’s the president elect”
they dont care now.
whether through indifference, fear of retribution, apathy, sympathy, or conspiracy, the people involved in the “system” had no intention of doing anything to donald trump, it was more important to put him back in charge of the nuclear football than it was to prosecute him.
when the system behaves as broken as it did, you have a hard time convincing me there isn’t a conspiracy to install a radical regime in the country.
I agree. They don’t. My question is more along the lines of “why don’t they?”. I realise you gave me a number of possible reasons, but it would be nice to know the truth.
