    One of the biggest myths about renewable energy is that it isn’t reliable. Sure, the sun sets every night and winds calm down, putting solar panels and turbines to sleep. But when those renewables are humming, they’re providing the grid with electricity and charging banks of batteries, which then supply power at night.

        It’s almost like anyone who claims renewables are a bad idea because “sun goes down” and “wind stops sometimes” are either intentionally misrepresenting the arguments, arguing in bad faith, or are just plain idiots.

        It’s usually the latter.

          I think it depends on who’s doing the talking — oil execs aren’t idiots, so I think in their case, it’s the first two (intentional misrepresentation, bad faith).

          Someone repeating what their uncle/Newsmax host/etc. said? Yeah, maybe that’s the latter…
