minus-square@The_vlink7•2 days agoBottom - pullet egg. A younger hen often starts laying with smaller eggs. Middle - regular egg from an adult chicken. Top - likely a double- identical twin eggs sharing a shell.

For fun, here’s a large-normal-small comparison.
Bottom - pullet egg. A younger hen often starts laying with smaller eggs.
Middle - regular egg from an adult chicken.
Top - likely a double- identical twin eggs sharing a shell.
I guess they have to ease into larger sizes, just like humans do. 🙃
