You’re a few years out of date on recommended covid practices. Well, there are no covid practices anymore, so maybe not.

I’m talking about current messaging. I knew from day one they were lying through their teeth about it not being airborne and not needing masks.

Oh well. I guess liberals will get to be gleefully blaming trump for bird flu when it inevitably becomes a human pandemic despite the fact that biden was 100% complicit in not stopping its spread.

You know the “day one” messaging was because they didn’t know how exactly it was transmitted in most cases, right? Not because they were intentionally lying.

The paper surgical masks were still better then nothing and there simply weren’t enough n95 masks to go around.

Besides, many people were not being infected from breathing it in. They were infected from droplets being unintentionally spat in their eyes. Eye protection was also recommended, which is probably how I avoided ever catching it.

The surgical masks would still prevent the wearer from spreading it to other people because it would stop spit.

They intentionally lied about the masks to save them for health care workers. They could of messaged wearing cloth masks like the 1918 flu, then surgical as they became available, then n95 as those became available. Why wasn’t there a stockpile? We give trillions to Israel’s genocidal campaigns since it’s founding yet we don’t have a stockpile of basic medical supplies? What a joke of a fucking country. Burn it down and start over.

Everyone knows flu and cold spread airborne and surfaces, why did they only focus on surfaces? It’s a respiratory virus, why not say both? Because you can’t buy anything for airborne. Stock line must go up!

They lied, they did it intentionally, and they broke public trust. When bird flu comes around with likely 10x the death rate if not more we’re gonna be in for some interesting times ahead.

Cloth masks aren’t really any different from surgical masks and people were being advised to make cloth masks, but rarely where they up to spec.

We don’t have stockpiles of anything. That’s not a covid conspiracy. It’s basic capitalism. Why didn’t the government buy up stock piles? Even if they wanted to, the factories that make them were already operating max capacity. Nominal capacity is max capacity. Why? Capitalism.

Spit getting into people’s eyes is how most people were catching covid and there was official advice on wearing eye protection, but people cared more about their faction then health. I remember getting sneered at for wearing safety goggles.

Air Borne was only really a risk indoors. Dilution and UV basically killed the virus quickly outdoor, so as long as you practiced safety distancing, you were fine. Where was the profit in telling people to distance? You can indirectly measure viral saturation indoors with a CO2 monitor. If the room was over crowded or wasn’t getting ventilated properly, the CO2 would go up. Why weren’t they selling CO2 monitors?
