Russia will consider all ships, regardless of flag, heading to Ukrainian ports from midnight on 20 July as involved in a military conflict.

    I know it’s kinda of F’d, but can we just let Russia hand us a 21st century Gulf of Tonkin Incident to let us play a more proactive role in this war? If they’re barely able to handle the Ukrainian army, just wait til the rest of the world joins in. Granted, most of us will likely die in the resulting nuclear inferno, but for a brief moment in time we’d be able to absolutely devastate Russian forces.

      The Kremlin won’t commit suicide via the “red button” because of a failed land grab in Ukraine. It’s just fear mongering and they keep using it because they have so few other options + they’re used to people taking their threats seriously.
