Sebastien Bourdais was left feeling "sick" by IMSA's decision to strip Tower Motorsports of LMP2 victory in the Daytona 24 Hours for a technical issue. What happened, and why was there such a harsh penalty? Jack Benyon has everything you need to know - including more of Bourdais' complaints
Hard not to feel for drivers who had their hard work amount to nothing over what was essentially a mechanical failure. I haven’t been following IMSA long enough to know the precedent for enforcing the rules to the letter vs exceptions for unintentional violations because of damage but these types of things are unfortunately part of racing.
The race was a wild one at times, looking forward to seeing them give it another go at Sebring.
