Summary

Costco will raise hourly pay for most U.S. store workers, increasing top-tier wages to $30.20 in the first year and adding $1 annually for two more years.

Entry-level workers will see a $0.50 increase to $20 per hour.

The move follows a strike authorization by the Costco Teamsters union, representing 18,000 employees, amid contract negotiations.

CEO Ron Vachris stated the pay hikes keep Costco’s wages ahead of industry standards.

Keeping DEI and having good wages! Go Costco, no wonder why the state republicans feel so threatened to attack. They cannot handle businesses treating their diverse shoppers and workers right.

The demagogues just want to take away all the compassionate things we have around the world by tearing down families with their propaganda and hate speech, threatening ethical companies who pay taxes but refuse to participate in shady behaviours, blackmailing teachers to treat their students poorly or else, shutting down libraries and taking away books that explain the experiences of others, attacking men for hugging and being there for their children, constantly mocking vegetarians and vegans, trying to remove representation of minorities of media that relate to people and their life situations.
