    You said it. Right on the nose. More Republicans own guns versus democrats, and most cops are Republicans, so the side with more common sense voted their gun rights away years ago and are sitting with their proverbial dicks in their hands.

          Oh yes the California that checks notes had the Black Panthers patrolling with guns because no one else could be bothered and then Regan and his cronies enacted the most extreme gun laws in the country. Those damn libs!

            What’s ironic is that it was Republicans in power at the time, as well as the NRA support, which passed the bill.
