      Price gouging while blaming inflation. While not a monopoly they’re like the biggest fish in a small pond and engage in shitty business practices.

      Something that the other comments aren’t mentioning, is that Loblaws owns like 20 different store chains in Canada, including some specifically named to trick you into thinking they are mom and pop stores.

      In addition to the other commenter: Loblaws is primarily a grocer, unlike Walmart which is primarily general goods. The “shitty business practices” that Loblaws employs directly impacts Canadians’ cost of living. Were it like Walmart I’d be less inclined to boycott them.
