Trump said his tariffs on the three largest U.S. trading partners might cause Americans some short-term pain, but “long term, the United States has been ripped off by virtually every country in the world”.

lol bet they don’t, if you haven’t been noticing, Russia is getting positively hammered by a previously untested Ukraine, on it’s own with Western supplied weapons

That’s a specific case. But America 1v5? And with China on their side while the American people are against it? As well as a lot of the American soldiers being against it? Yeah, america would get stomped. BRICS is also like 3.5 billion people.

You’re forgetting one key component. A war with the US will not be fought on the US mainland, but within the borders of its adversaries. The citizenry will become war weary very quickly, and many of their economies crippled. On the flipside, look how long American citizens will put up with losing conflicts. Until the oligarchs decide their through.

America simply doesn’t have a big enough military to cover that much territory tho. And you’re talking almost half of the world’s population. America’s greatest ability is it’s logistics. Logistics don’t work very well if you can’t easily access bases all over the world. And people defend their home country much more fiercely than imperialists attack. Look at Ukraine before they were given credit or Western weapons.

And again, were talking about some of our top trading partners. So the economy dies during this hypothetical. It’s not THEIR will to fight that fails, but ours.
