minus-square@lemmy_user_838586link4•edit-21 month agoI did too, and I heard a lot of people in my school only enlisting to kill Iraqi’s… I was in 8th grade when 9/11 happened, so we had a few years to let the anger fester before people were able to get out of school and legally go over.

I did too, and I heard a lot of people in my school only enlisting to kill Iraqi’s… I was in 8th grade when 9/11 happened, so we had a few years to let the anger fester before people were able to get out of school and legally go over.
I never heard that kind of thing, but I was around them in the mid-90s. A different time.
