minus-square@lemmy_user_838586link4•edit-21 day agoI did too, and I heard a lot of people in my school only enlisting to kill Iraqi’s… I was in 8th grade when 9/11 happened, so we had a few years to let the anger fester before people were able to get out of school and legally go over.

I’ve had that reaction since the ‘support our troops’ days of yore.
