There is a bunch of different servers and anyone can start their own server if they want to.
Server admins can decide with which servers they exchange information or which they block.
So if one server goes down or the admins there go rogue powertripping, the rest can remain unaffected.
For the most part your user experience is pretty much the same like on reddit, with a better culture here. But if something really rubs you the wrong way, you can switch your home server, or make your own instead of only being able to leave.
I see, that makes sense. So If blue sky is not that way, does that mean it will essentially reach a point of saturation and monetization like everything else? In other words, enshittify? Thank you for your reply by the way.
