In its early stages, fascism depends on this kind of fear-based compliance while they’re building power, and this is a large part of how they do it. This is like donating oily rags to a known arsonist.
Up to the company in America, no guarantee of not having to work just because some observe a certain day. Especially for blue collar workers. The ultimate irony here is most will work on labor day.
I’d rather those were opt-in anyway. Just have a box you can tick for “cultural awareness events” or something.
