I always enjoy playing these with my partner as she’s a massive Digimon fan. Usually they shake up the battle system every so often, so I’m curious about that. Also, guns apparently. Cybersleuth was a poor mans Persona, this one seems to have taken a few cues from Soul Hackers instead.
I dig the new locations, Cybersleuth only had this bland digital space in different colors. This time around we seem to be getting actual parts of the digital world.
This was my take on the video, as well. I never played the Cyber Sleuth games, mostly because the backgrounds seemed just like you said. Boring and bland; it didn’t interest me. This immediately looks a lot more visually interesting to me.
