It seems a recent update to glibc with version 2.41 release at the end of January, has been causing all sorts of problems for Linux gamers that have pulled in the update (mostly on rolling-release distributions).
It is the standard C library used on GNU/Linux systems. Basically, it is very important. I’ve also heard that the code is a rats nest. I wish standard distros would move to musl libc.
Oh boy if you’re particular about spelling, Middle English would drive you crazy. There’s almost no consistency with spelling. Scribes would just write what they heard so it’s mostly phonetic unlike modern English.
