    They’re doing r/place again? Didn’t they just have one last year or something? I thought it was supposed to be once every five years event, much like somebody telling spez he is loved.

      It looks to me that they’re basically doing it as a desperate last resort.

        It can only be accessed through their mobile app, or on the web with the new interface (old.reddit.com won’t work).

        They don’t care what people are putting on the board, it’s still an increase in people engaging with the new interface and the official app.

          Just like they don’t care about r/pics turning into John Oliver only. It pumps up the numbers, so they can show advertisers and investors a rosy outlook.
