That’s an impressive number of hours! I’ve never been that dedicated to any one game to this point, but I can see how MMOs could get you to stack that many hours. With every game I’ve played so far there’s always a point where it loses its magic, so I give it a break for a while and maybe come back to it in the future. There’s a few games that I’ve repeated that cycle with for quite a few years. I’m hoping ESO will continue to stay fun, I guess I’ll see!

I’ve never played MMOs much, but I can see how the social aspect is very important. I found a social guild that runs casual PVE and PVP events, and that makes things a lot more enjoyable.

That’s definitely the way; I’ve had a few people I’ve played with basically since console launch. The larger group has changed, but a few of us have stayed the whole time. If it weren’t for them, I probably wouldn’t play much. I could be playing checkers for all I care, as long as it’s fun. The last comped ball group I played with, we’d be crying laughing, kiting the zerg around the top of the keep cause someone said some dumb shit or someone’s voice cracked during a call out and we’re ragging on them lol. Legitimate wheezing laughter.

Yeah, having fun is the important part! I still play mostly solo, but I’ve been enjoying some of the group content when I’m feeling up for it. I’m hoping to get a bit better at the game and do it more in the future.

I highly recommend a social guild. The one I am in on Xbox was always trials focus, but was a starting-to-mid tier raiding guild. It started out with training runs, and then progressed to gear farming, the hard modes. One of the main “cores” has been running for like 3 years now we (not on it anymore) went from literally doing vHoF to now they’re doing XS, which is one of the hardest perfectas in the game. Largely the same people, at least half have been on the team for most the clears.

If the one you join is too big or you feel too lost amongst the numbers, just join more. You’ll find a place.

The one I found seems pretty good to this point. It’s small enough that I recognize a fair number of the regular players, and there’s a fair number of people that will help with questions and teaching. It’s primarily social, but they do PVE and PVP events as well. So I’m hoping to find a good spot there to hang out!

I’ve seen quite a few advertised in zones, but I’ve not had great luck joining them and they trend towards RP or specific crowds that I don’t normally fall into. Rn I just have my zone spam one for Cyro, the one with my PvP friends who transferred to PC, and then a free trading one I’m using for traveling/crafting.

Speaking of, I’ll be floating around Cyro during Midyear, name is same in-game as here! Say hi if you see me. Only have a DC character leveled so will definitely only be on blue lol

I’ll do that! I have a Breton that I’m working toward using as my PVP character, so at least you won’t be obliterating my health bar if I see you! ;-)

Maybe not. I do have a sorc ready to level on each of the other alliances, just trying to get one character ready to go tho before I invest in others lol
