Seems to be a solo dev and still a WIP project, but the short gameplay video I saw seemed pretty cool. Some people are complaining about the floatiness of the combat, but since it’s a mix between soulslike and ARPG, I feel like a little bit of float isn’t back breaking. Plus, the variety of dodges and parries seems to imply quite a bit of depth in combat

Let me know if you’d like these to become a regular thing: daily posts or weekly one-of posts. Recently realised that our focus on here has been mostly on popular and well-established AAA and AA soulslike releases, leaving out the smaller projects like Khazan, Enotria, or games like this one.

Have a good one! ✌🏻

I follow iron pineapple for the same thing but always dislike it when he reviews unfinished demos or games that are not available at this moment. Like, until they release I will already have forgotten it

Oh yea makes sense. I feel like if the game is polished enough that it somewhat resembles a finished game, it’s fine. But a completely unfinished game usually won’t be much fun to look at. It’s something you’d be better off playing on your own.

Then again, if content creators like Pineapple don’t make videos about games in these unfinished states, how do people find out about them in the first place? Unless you’re an avid soulslike enthusiast and are always on the lookout for new games to play, there are not a whole lot of ways to find out about upcoming games outside maybe trailers or news publications, given the game is big enough to warrant an article in the first place.

      What do you think?
