What do that do in these cases? I mean, these are misdemeanors, right? Not violent crime, just not following the law. Would they arrest? Impounding the vehicle seems more piggish: they’d find some way to RICO it and sell it after a few months.
You can certainly get arrested for defying a court order. It probably depends on how far it escalates. I imagine a lot of these people eventually realize that they’re not going to get out of paying and give up.
