March 5 (Reuters) - Jack Daniel’s maker Brown-Forman’s CEO Lawson Whiting said on Wednesday Canadian provinces taking American liquor off store shelves was “worse than a tariff” and a “disproportionate response” to levies imposed by the Trump administration.

Several Canadian provinces have taken U.S. liquor off store shelves as part of retaliatory measures against President Donald Trump’s tariffs.

Canadians are steering away from U.S. goods, sports events and trips following the recent imposition of tariffs, which have left them stirred, despite the deep ties between the two countries.

Disrespecting our PM by calling him Governor is functionally the same thing as my other point

People can insult Trudeau all they want. They can make fun of us, there’s a lot to work with all they want.

But threatening Canada is a hard line that I cannot and will not ever accept.

You guys keep missing golden opportunities to just shut off the power you export to the US. Superbowl would have been perfect. His address to congress would have been hilarious. Just do it already. Please, for the love of God, cut it off. And make Trump grovel on live TV for the power to be restored. Show him as the little piss baby he really is.

Or send some of your moose and geese to fucking kill him. I’d be fine with either, honestly.

Who cares if he insults a politician? How is that the problem?

The problem is that he is threatening your sovereignty. Yes I understand that calling him Governor is implying that Canada is merely a state. But that’s the problem, not some slight against a figurehead.
