While it might be true that the majority of people aren’t that dumb, it doesn’t matter; it only takes *just enough *knuckleheads that eat up the shit like DeSantis is spreading to fuck us all.
There are enough people that will believe “post birth abortions” are happening - just like there were enough that believed (and STILL believe!) the election was stolen - simply because DeSantis said so, to be a considerable threat to our democracy.
The saying “never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers” is more apropos than ever these days.
