This is a community in the bastardized spirit of “Ye Power Trippin’ Bastards” where people can post about bans from Blåhaj or ML or Walmart or whatever and get some feedback from others whether the ban was justified or not.

Posting Guidelines

All posts should follow this basic structure:

Which mods/admins were being bastards?
What bastardly deed did they do?
Provide a screenshot of the relevant modlog entry if applicable.
Provide a screenshot and explanation of the cause of the bastardly deed.
Explain why you think its unfair and how you would like the situation to be remedied.

Rules

Good faith arguments are discouraged. Don’t take things here seriously.
Using private communications to prove your point is encouraged. Leak those DMs, baby.
Deobfuscating mod names from the modlog is a great way to enhance the drama.
If you’re going to harass mods or brigade comms, do so gently and with good taste.
Downvote only if you’re insecure.
You can post about power trippin’ in any social media, not just lemmy. Feel free to post about reddit or a local establishment, etc.
If you are the accused bastard, while you are welcome to respond, please do so in a new post.

All accused are considered guilty until proven innocent.

Make sure you follow Chad’s code of conduct. In other words we may or may not allow bellyaching about being sanctioned for hate speech or bigotry depending on the vibe.

Matrix channel: For real-time discussions about bastards or to appeal mod actions in YPTBcirclejerk itself.

Some acronyms you might see.

PTB - Power-Tripping Bastard: The commenter is seeking a sense of camaraderie with you.
YDDI - You Didn’t Deserve It: The commenter thinks you didn’t deserve that mod action.
PBR - Pabst Blue Ribbon: That mod probably needs a beer.
YCLB - You Clueless Bastard: You probably didn’t read the sidebar.
