Summary

A measles outbreak in West Texas has infected nearly 200 people, mostly unvaccinated Mennonite families in Gaines County, where vaccine exemptions are among the state’s highest.

Dr. Ben Edwards, a vaccine skeptic, treats patients with cod-liver oil and nutrition advice instead of standard medical care.

Two people have died, and 23 have been hospitalized. The CDC is engaging with the community, but anti-vaccine sentiment remains strong.

Health officials warn the outbreak could spread, while local leaders insist families are making personal choices about vaccination.

Quarantine them and let them all die. Make it a condition of leaving the quarantine that they have to be vaccinated and sign statements that they revoke the anti-vax sentiments. No one else should have to die because of their stupidity.
